What is TMJ and TMD?
T.M.J is the abbreviation used for the Temporomandibular Joint, commonly known as the jaw joint. If you have a dysfunction of your jaw joint, it is called a T.M. disorder.
Symptoms of TMD
Often times headaches, facial pain, and earaches can be difficult to diagnose. These painful symptoms could be a result of a dysfunction of your jaw joints, jaw musculature or the nerves that supply these structures.
Common symptoms and signs of T.M.D. may include:
- Headaches
- Joint Noises
- Earaches
- Neck Pain
- Jaw Fatigue
- Poor Sleep
- Tooth Pain
- Facial Pain

- Numbness and burning of the face
- Pain When Chewing
- Bite feeling off
